I found these "attempted family pictures" from several years ago. Hehehehehe. The larger the family, the harder it is so get a good picture!

New Toy

Josh has been wanting this for a while, and he finally bought it! I have to admit...it is a lot cooler than I thought it would be. A remote control airplane! I have crashed it twice:( He wants me to learn how to fly so we can fly together, but it is a LOT harder than it looks! I like watching him fly it though:) It's really neat!

Josh and I went to the drive in movies last week. We realized we were about 30 minutes early:/ While waiting I attempted to get a nice picture of us.....Oh, and this was our....nest...lol. Quite comfy.

I kept cutting myself out of the picture.Getting the 'perfect picture' is impossible lol.

Miss Amanda

In beauty school we were given mannequin heads to practice braids, colors, and cuts on. The head even had a name - Miss Amanda. I have 3 Miss Amanda's left over from beauty school that I have trying to sell. While waiting to be sold they have been sitting at Josh's house.

Last week Josh called me upstairs and said to go look in the room. I asked why, and he said 'just look you'll see."

I have to admit it was pretty funny! I guess he had found my fake hand too that I practiced nails on. The mannequin on the far left is brand new and still has the bag over its head!

This Summer...

A few things I have learned and realized this Summer...

1. You can be too tired to eat and too hungry to sleep at the same time.

2. I am 21...I am not a teenager anymore...and haven't been for a while.

3. I do not like the heat of Summer, I don't like to sweat, and it is a challenge for me to find something to wear everyday because of that. Modest is literally the 'hotest!'

4. Armpit waxing is amazing!

5. You know someone really loves you when you drop their iphone in the pool and they don't get mad:/

6. Otter Pops are delic!

7. Glitter Toes are a must!

8. I haven't seen my family in 8 months.....weird.

9. Things turn green and grow in Utah during the Summer only, so driving around is...interesting. Things look different. I'm used to living somewhere where it is green all the time.

10. It is futile to get in the pool with the intent of keeping your hair dry.

11. Be a patient driver. Pressuring the car in front of you to GO could cause them to crash:/

12. Flowers are beautiful!

Lately

I don't update enough lol. Lets see what's new....

I love my job! I love my clients! I have so much fun doing hair:)

Josh finished his house and it is beautiful! He did a great job on it.

My birthday is tomorrow lol, yay 21. Last year I spent my birthday with my friends Laura and Hollee and their families and we played softball. It was fun!!! Josh took me out for my birthday last year too! And he bought me a pink snuggy!!!

I finally got a tan! Josh told me the other day "ya know...your hottness goes from a 10 to a 10 1/2 when you are tan" lol.

We went to Ikea and got the coolest desk for his house!

I need to clean now......I'll update more later!

Antelope Island

Yesterday when I got home from work Josh and I took a ride out to Antelope Island...


Antelope Island is a state park located about 15 miles from Josh's house. I had heard of the park...but never been to it. Josh said there really were antelope, buffalo, and other animals roaming around the island. So we got on the bike and off we went!


As we reached the island and were exploring the different roads around the mountains...we saw a buffalo! I couldn't believe that there actually WERE buffalo...and they were huge! We also saw a bunny:)

It was perfect weather and such a fun ride!! After some exploring, we parked and hiked up one of the hills.



The family walking down the hill were speaking Russian, so Josh had a nice little chat with them in Russian:)


When we reached the top, we could see the sun setting. It was a breathtaking view. It was very quiet and peaceful. There were wild flowers and big rocks we could sit on to watch the sunset.


We didn't stay long because it was getting dark and we didn't have a flashlight, but I'm sure we'll be going back to do some more exploring!


I had to get a picture with a buffalo! I had the perfect chance when we were headed off the island. There was a buffalo standing in the middle of the road, so I grabbed my camera and realized the battery was dieing:/ I jumped off the bike and ran over to some buffalo that were running away and Josh was able to snap this picture before the camera died...

I personally think the picture is hilarious because the buffalo is right above my head and I'm still wearing the helmet...those buffalo move fast!

Use Your Hands!

I went sledding for the first time since I was 5 years old! It was SO much fun!!! I went with Jenny, her boyfriend Tanner and his little sister. Tanner said that you use your hands to steer. It was scary at first, haha and I kept falling off the sled:( I guess I'm not very good at steering. It was still tons of fun though:)
(We have yet to figure out what Tanner is doing in that pic lol)

Job Search

When I got back to Utah in December I began my job search. I met with the Job Placement Specialist at my beauty school and found some leads. I have since called over 24 salons for information, visited 10 that interested me, turned in 7 resumes, had 2 interviews, and 1 job offer.

The job offer was to a cute salon in Layton called A Cut Above. It is a fantastic job with good, flexible house, cheap booth rent, great location, and nice people. The only downside is that it is a tricky place for someone who doesn't have an established clientele.

I am waiting to see how things follow through with 4 other salons that I am very interested in before I take the position at A Cut Above. They are:

I am so excited to start working in a salon.....I love hair!

Look Alike

Has anyone ever said to you "you look so much like..." ? I thought I'd make a blog about it because I've been getting that a lot lately. Of course I don't really see any resemblance...but I tried to find pictures that matched up. What do you think? And who have you been told you look like?
